Sometime in the mid-eighties, at the age of 33, i was struck with the notion it was time to buy a bicycle.  Went to a local shop and test rode mountain bikes and road bikes, and decided i loved the way it felt to be hunkered down on a road bike…. habits morphed, and my collection of velos grew, and now it has become a bit more than a “hobby”… commuting since the early nineties, and now well into the initial stages of “geezerhood” I find myself more fit on the bike than in my thirties.  Although i’m no longer out of sorts if the day’s activities swerve and cause me to miss my daily ride, a day spent on the bike is generally better than one without it.  Life is good, so i’ll take this time to share what i’m learning and experiencing out on the road.
